Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
My son played in a playpen while I worked 12-hour days in sanding floors and removing wallpaper. Ha! All was beginning to fall into place, but there was still a long way to go. It would take a great deal of effort as well as a passion of shopping. In order to keep my budget intact, I went with three of my boys to look for bargains in estate sales. Our weekly routine that included spending Friday through Saturday at estate and garage sales, shopping for new and used objects. I then spent the remainder of the week sanding and painting the driveway. My first impression was like... this is when my passion to restore furniture began. Although our house was equipped, I couldn't put down. I also had a booth at the market where I sold items. Eventually I had more pieces that I could decide how to use them and outgrew the area. At home, I began hosting open houses, where over 1000 guests could visit to purchase anything they liked on the 1st floor in just one weekend. That's how my company Growing Days was born. In addition to my thriving business, I also grew our family. It was essential to find the right balance for me. I wished to balance being a mother and also a successful business owner. Growing Days just fit. In 2013, my beautiful daughter Nora came along our 4th kiddo. My business was going well but I wanted a rest. I decided to take a break from creating furniture for vintage homes, and also slowed my pace in order to stay at home and help my children. That was exactly what I needed at that moment. But after a short time, my phone began ringing. The people who called me were asking for help with their interior decorating and home renovations. They had mainly visited my house at the open houses that were held for furniture. In the following time I began to take on customers in my own way. Soon I had several accounts and a home renovations business. When I first heard about my home renovation business, I laughed. It's funny to think back to the idea.
